Although our numbers were small, a lot of information was shared by our guest speaker today. Lee DuPont came from the Oregon Employment Department to provide information about how Veterans' Employment Specialists can help with the job search process. He provided each veteran in attendance with packets of handouts. (I have a limited number of packets available.)
Second: did you know KATU has a community outreach program this year focused on helping members of the community to regain employment and self sufficiency. The name of the project is: Add 1 Job. Listings can be found at KATU . The jobs are not posted in chronological order, scroll through to see if there is a job you would like to further examine.
Next week, we will gather in the EAC learning center and update I Match Skills prepatory to our next speaker. Arthur Knepper will be speaking on June 7th.
