Vet Centers

We have a local Vet Center.  The address is: 1505 NE 122nd Avenue; Portland, Oregon  97230.  Their phone number is: 503.688.5361.

The services are both formal and informal in that they have closed group and they have activities for veterans and the veterans families.

VFW Lady wrote a blog post about finding Vet Centers within the nation.  Apparently, there are at least 300 of them.  You can read her post here.

Free Medical + Dental Clinic

Compassion North Portland Medical and Dental Clinic is a one day event that will take place on August 4th at Roosevelt High School. The school will be transformed into a local neighborhood clinic.

Goals are to provide:
• Basic medical exams
• Basic dental cleaning and emergency treatment
• Basic eye exams and free glasses
• Information about social service
• Children’s activities
• Free lunch

National Career Fair

Portland Job Fair - 5 days away! Date: Monday, August 6 Time: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Location: Red Lion Hotel on the River Address: 909 N.
